the Alte Künste Advent calendar is back for 2026! During Advent 2026, we are going on a journey full of vibrant botanically dyed yarn. All colours are based on the five main colours of the mood board.
All skeins are individually wrapped and numbered.
There are also gifts and surprises included – every Advent Sunday and on 24 December (as it is custom in Germany: Christmas Eve is the big moment for presents)
Our gifts are never teas or sweets from the supermarket.
This year’s inclusions include:
- a new knitting pattern designed especially for the Alte Künste Advent calendar by Marina Storm of StormKnittingArt. There’ll also be a KnitAlong to go with it, and
- Jola’s Perlenmanufaktur has prepared something very special for this Advent!
You can choose between the following yarn bases:
- 24 x 20g Bluefaced Leicester (80m/20g meterage) 75% virgin wool, 25% polyamide – these are mostly semi-solid skeins
- 5 x 50g Big Merino (200m/50g meterage) 100% virgin wool (extra-fine merino) – these 5 skeins make up a fade set
- double quantity of Big Merino: 2x (5 x 50g) Big Merino; each individual parcel contains two 50g skeins of the same colour.
As is usual with botanically dyed yarn, all the colours harmonise with one another, so the skeins can either be knitted together or used as accents in other projects.
Please note that all products purchased alongside the Advent calendar pre-sale will be dispatched together with the Advent calendar in November. For earlier delivery of other products, please place a separate order.
