The drama beforehand
What can I achieve in 3 full days?
Yarn, needles, notions, patterns, project bags – the full range of a yarn-fluencer had to come along.
What works with public transport, and what doesn’t?
It all got cramped into a car – especially as the forecast was not clear what to expect.
Arrival, accommodation, community
Great area, great house, fantastic weather (summer and knitting go well together),
warm hosts, a goodie bag, oooh a goodie bag – I didn’t even realize I’d be heading home with even more happiness. My roommate (Why did I only just meet her in person now? Sooo many years without this pleasant input…)
Dearly loved like-minded people, new discoveries among the yarn-obsessed, the patterns, the yarn as well as the project bags sigh – it had everything. The whirring of the spinning wheels, the swift, the clicking of needles, the man in the kitchen, the splendor of colors, that busy tranquility, wonderful.
The rustic ambiance combined with very good food -> compliments to the chef. The only man was actually a “servant,” James uh Holger conjured up sensational dishes from a regional and seasonal organic box, all-inclusive plus – drinks and cake!
The Maison Fasson house: antique meets new technology. We had a brand-new bathroom in the room. Old beds, new slats, and new mattresses. A completely successful package. Pure vintage feeling including a library with a fake fireplace 🙂
Handicrafts, chatting, eating, hiking, there was even a yarn shop nearby, which I stayed away from for reasons.
Although… thanks to good Wi-Fi, a few things could land in my favorites, which led to another release of endorphins the following week.
Negative – a project victim:
Present at the live frogging event of the Knit Purl Repeat Sweater, torso finished to about the belly button or even below? My heart bled. But sometimes it’s just better to say no to a pattern despite an extremely good choice of yarn and color and discard the project. Frogged = Finished Object. The yarn will surely find a new, worthy project.
And now?
Trapped in a WhatsApp group that keeps enabling me.
Help – I’m addicted. Oh, whatever, I own my addiction and am waiting for the registration info for the next event.
