Mulberry reeled silk, hand-dyed with plant and natural dyes – considered the highest-quality silk:
This silk is obtained from the cocoons of the silkworm, which lives on mulberry trees and feeds on their leaves. Its cocoon consists of a single long filament that is unwound in one piece (reeled – hence reeled silk). That’s why reeled silk is considered the highest silk quality compared to other types of silk!
It doesn’t get more luxurious than this – whether as a shawl, scarf, or carry-along thread with other yarns, or even with 2.5 mm needles for an opaque summer top, Dream Silk has no limits.
With 800 m meterage, one skein is enough for 2 small triangular shawls or one very large one. 2 skeins are enough for an opaque top in size 38 (short-sleeve/sleeveless).
With Dream Silk, the winding service is included, i.e., each skein is wound into the familiar cake shape before shipping.
