UPDATE: The adventcalendar is sold out for this year!
This is a traditional German treat to shorten the time in December until the holidays. The Alte Künste – Ancient Arts advent calendar is non-denominational. It is limited to 30 calendars and is available via pre-order only from 15 August to 15 October 2019. Shipping will be mid-November so that your advent calendar will reach you in time for December.
Contents of the Alte Künste – Advent Calendar 2019:
> 16.8oz g (24 x 0.7oz) botanical dyed Bluefaced Leicester mini-skeins, fingering weight & superwash (75% virgin wool, 25% polyamid, 87.5yd/0.7oz)
> 5 stitch markers by Atelier Marie-Lucienne
> 1 exclusive knittingpattern „NorthernLights“ by Stefanie Bold Design
> all wrapped individually in 24 numbered bags. This is a re-usable wrapping set that you can use in the future to fill with your own ideas of an advent-calendar.
BFL mini-skeins are great for colour-work, fair-isle, jumpers, socks as well as scarfs and mittens.
As with all botanical dyed yarn all colours match with each other, so that you can use all 24 mini-skeins of the advent calendar in one project or you use them as highlights in other projects.
In total there will be 16.8oz of natural dyed BFL sockyarn in fingering weight in your Alte – Künste Advent Calendar 2019.
But that is not all:
Each Advent Sunday and Christmas Eve stitch markers by Atelier Marie-Lucienne will be included. We have settled for 5 themes on celtic traditions and country holidays: one for each advent sunday and an additional one on Christmas Eve.
The creative head behind Atelier Marie-Lucienne is Marjan Hoebeke-Pfaff. I have met Marjan at the Forum Lanarum in 2016 and instantly was impressed by her unique take on all things around yarn. I have been in love with her creations ever since and I want to share this love with you in the Advent Calendar 2019.
Have a peak at her creations in her Etsy-Shop and find her as @ateliermarielucienne on Instagram.
Wait, there is even more:
On the 24th you are getting an additional gift: NorthernLights knitting pattern by Stefanie Bold Design.
This pattern was written specifically for the Alte Künste Advent Calendar and has not been published before. The pattern will be included as a printed brochure on the 24th, the last day of the calendar.
You can use all or just some of the mini-skeins included in the advent calendar for this pattern or you keep the mini-skeins for other projects and use some of your stash for this knitting pattern.
Whatever you chose, we will be starting a KAL of the NorthernLights pattern on 27 December!
